Privacy

OpenCourts is free to use. We do not sell personal information.

Location

Your browser location is requested only when you choose a location button. Coordinates are used to load nearby court and weather data. Place searches and results are cached in session storage for the current tab. The location you select is saved in local storage so it can be used when you return. Clear this site’s browser data to remove them.

External services

OpenCourts uses OpenStreetMap for the map and court listings. Place suggestions come from Photon, and submitted place searches are sent to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service. Court searches are sent through Cloudflare Pages Functions to Overpass API providers. Forecasts come from the U.S. National Weather Service, and recent-rain estimates use NOAA radar data. Each service receives the search text or coordinates needed to respond and has its own privacy practices.

Analytics

The court-search page uses Google Analytics to measure visits. Google says its default web setup can collect visit and session counts, approximate location, browser and device information, and may use a first-party _ga cookie. Read Google’s description of Analytics data collection.
