About OpenCourts

Find public tennis courts and plan around the weather

OpenCourts is a free map and weather planner for tennis players. Search near a city, ZIP code, or your current location, compare nearby courts, and check the forecast before you go. OpenCourts does not handle court reservations or payments.

Find and compare nearby tennis courts

Browse public tennis courts on a map or in a list. Sort by distance or listed lighting, and filter by distance, hard, clay or grass surface, and confirmed public access. Court listings may include the number of courts, surface, lighting, address, nearby place names, and directions when that information is available.

Check recent precipitation near courts

Compare nearby courts using recent NOAA radar precipitation estimates. OpenCourts shows one-, three-, and six-hour readings, a radar quality label, and courts with less recent precipitation. These are area estimates, not measurements of whether a court surface is dry.

Plan with a seven-day playing forecast

See available National Weather Service forecast periods between estimated local sunrise and sunset. The play score considers temperature, wind, and rain probability. Low-scoring stretches stay visible with labels for conditions such as rain, snow, ice, heat, wind, or cold. The planner also shows heat index when available and local weather alerts. Forecast conditions are for the surrounding area and cannot confirm whether a particular court is playable.

Where the information comes from

The map and court listings use OpenStreetMap data, maintained by contributors. Some courts may be missing, and details such as access, lights, or amenities can be out of date. Check with the venue before you go.

Forecasts come from the U.S. National Weather Service. Recent-rain estimates use NOAA radar data. They can help with planning, but they do not measure the court surface or guarantee that a court is open or playable.
